Our Alive Outside
Alive Outside in North Platte, Nebraska, specializes in home fitness equipment and bicycles. We are an official, authorized dealer for TREK, True, Spirit, Schwinn, Body Solid, Bontager, Horizon and many others. In addition, we are equipped to service bicycles and even do field repairs on larger home fitness equipment. We’ve even provided local organizations with fitness equipment to stock their gymnasiums, and service to repair them.
Our history
Alive Outside originally opened its doors as Miles Bike Shop back in 1980. In 1996, our location moved to 601 South Jeffers Street, known as “The Ones”. This location gives greater accessibility to our local and out of town customers.
Ownership Team
Mitch Moorhead
Mitch Moorhead grew up in Hershey. After graduating from UNL, he returned to Hershey where he resides with his wife Stephanie and 13 year-old twins Olivia and Chase. Mitch is always on the go – he owns Moorhead Construction, volunteers in the Hershey community, coaches youth sports and farms.
Drew Holm
Drew Holm is originally from Wallace; however, he now lives in Colorado with his wife and two sons, Barrett & Bode. He loves anything outdoors – boating, hiking, biking and, of course, Nebraska football.
Ariel Quiroga
Ariel Quiroga has been living in the North Platte area for over 25 years and is the proud father of four children. Ariel and his family love North Platte and all that the community has to offer.
Ariel, Drew & Mitch, whom have been friends for over 20 years, decided they wanted to branch out and try something new. Upon hearing of the retirement of Alive Outside’s original owners Alan and Diane, they knew this was the opportunity they had been looking for! They are excited to be able to keep this fantastic business alive in the community.
